What Is GMCC?
Have you ever wanted to create Social Impact? Have you ever wanted to put your knowledge and skills to the test? Are you a first year student looking for a challenge and insight into the worlds of microfinance and consulting? Are you a Masters student looking for practical experience? Then participate in the 2018 Global Microfinance Case Competition (GMCC). Not just any ordinary case competition, GMCC provides you with an opportunity to work and consult on a LIVE project, using your knowledge and skills to create REAL social impact and change.
Proudly sponsored by A.T. Kearney, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, NAB and in partnership with Jaime V. Ongpin Microfinance Foundation Inc (JVOMFI). GMCC is now in its eight year, with over 800 participants across a number of leading universities from Australia and New Zealand participating annually, GMCC is back bigger and better than ever. Hosted by Melbourne Microfinance Initiative in collaboration with Auckland Microfinance Initiative, Australian National University Commerce Collective, Monash SEED, University of New South Wales Microfinance Consulting Group and University of Western Australia Consulting Society.
Anyone and everyone can make a difference! So don’t hesitate to give it a go. The winning team from each university will be flown down for the National Semi-Finals and Grand Finals in Melbourne, with the winners walking away with the following prizes:
1. A.T. Kearney Summer Internship Prize
Guaranteed interview with A. T. Kearney for their Summer Internship program.
2. Increase to the Cash Prize
MMI has decided to increase the cash prize awarded to the National Final Winners from $500 to $1000. In addition, National Final Winners will have their flight costs completely covered if they choose to attend the A.T. Kearney Summer Internship Assessment Centre on the 31st of August.
3. Boardroom Dinner Prize
The National Final Winners will be awarded a complementary dinner on the night of the National Finals with the panel of judges at Corrs ChambersWestgarth Head Office.
